Finalist of the first ever Hertfordshire Digital Awards

Okay, I’m not really a big deal but I’m excited none the less, as I found out a few weeks ago that I have been selected as a finalist for the first ever Hertfordshire Digital Awards! As I mentioned in my previous post I’ve only been at this freelance web design lark for a little over 6 months and in that short time it’s been filled to the brim with highs and lows but this is definitely one of highlights.

I’ve never really entered my work in any competitions before (except for winning The Web Design Forum site of the year competition) but this has certainly given me the confidence I need to try entering my work into more contests after all it can’t hurt right? (except for hurting my wallet as you have to pay to enter most of the bigwig competitions). Still, regardless of that I’m hoping to try and win 2 categories at the event which are Marketing & Creative and Small Business (the full list of finalists can be found here (http://hertsdigitalawards.co.uk/hda-2015-finalists-announced/).

The awards evening is on September 24th at the Holiday Inn in Stevenage which will feature a night of fun, glorious food, refreshing drinks and either supreme glory or bone crushing defeat! Hopefully it will be the former! Keep an eye out for my reactions one way or another in the coming weeks.
